Click here to Access Files (Authorized Users with Password Only) The following instructions are for individuals authorized to use csFileshare, an on-line file access utility available for authorized individuals to make exchanging documents, digital photographs and other electronic files easier. This allows anyone with a browser to share and access these files without requiring special software. OBTAINING ACCESS Access requires manually adding each user with an ID, Password, Level of Access, and list of Virtual Drives. You may request access from webmaster@oregondemolay.org. You will be notified of your ID and Password when entered in csFileshare and available for your use. Once you are given access, please be thoughtful in your use of the utility. There is a limited amount of space available on our website. At present, no restrictions have been applied to the amount of uploads or storage but they will be imposed if necessary. LOGGING IN You have been issued an ID and Password associated with the particular "virtual drives" you are authorized to access. Click on a "Click here to Access Files" link, like the one which follows, to access the log-on page for csFileshare, the file management utility. Click here to Access Files (Authorized Users with Password Only) At the resulting log-on screen, enter your ID and Password and select "Login". SELECTING THE "VIRTUAL DRIVE" TO ACCESS You will be presented with a list of "virtual drives" you are authorized to access. Click on the drive you wish to access. The folders under that drive will then be displayed. Browse to the folders and files you wish to access. UPLOADING FILES Browse to the folder to which you wish to upload. Select the File Upload button and complete the pop-up upload information dialog box. You can use the browse button to browse to the file you wish on your local drive. With the proper file selected, click on the Upload button. It may take a few minutes for a large file depending on your connect speed. There is no real "progress meter" so please be patient. MAKING DIRECTORIES You may create a folder or directory within any drive you are authorized to access. PLEASE BE THOUGHTFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU CREATE. There is limited space. Select Make Directory from within the folder where you want the subfolder to appear. Enter a descriptive folder name. If you only have temporary need for the folder, please put an expiration date on the files. ACCESSING FILES Files manually uploaded will appear with a description in the File/Dir column. Otherwise, you will have hover your cursor over the icon in the left column of the file list and read the pop up window for the file name. Select the file from the icon, or from the file name if available. The file will open in your browser window if it is a graphic or HTML file. Other file types will open a window asking if you wish to open or download and save the file. Some of this behavior depends on your browser and browser settings. If the file automatically opens, you can use your standard File, Save As functions to save the file to your local PC. Click here to Access Files (Authorized Users with Password Only) |
